A kitchen. A hospital room. A family car. One wrong detail—and suddenly the floor is gone.
Dominique Adam writes at the uneasy intersection of speculative fiction, psychological horror and literary suspense. Her stories begin in familiar territory and introduce the impossible so naturally that readers accept it before realizing there is no safe way back.
Her real subject is humanity under pressure. Apocalypses remain personal. Superpowers carry terminal consequences. Monsters are often less frightening than institutions, crowds, or ordinary people who have learned to look away.
Cinematic, compassionate and laced with gallows humour, these are stories about memory, identity, grief, survival—and what remains of us when everything we use to define ourselves begins to fail.

When a weapon built to erase the unwanted escapes containment, survival is only the beginning.
A catastrophic virus fractures society. Elysium promises a different kind of salvation: the ability to preserve and replicate the human mind. But memory is identity, and any system that can save a person can also decide which parts of that person deserve to survive.
